So, I just announced this in the
therealljidol's work room, but I've been competing this whole season under the name
prog_schlock.
This has been a terrific mini-season and there are 14 really talented writers (and also me) still left in the game. We're just starting a new week and I'll post here when the next set of entries are up so you can read them if you wish. This last week was stellar.

Date: 2016-04-19 10:16 am (UTC)Nice job, and I seriously mean that :)
ETA: And thank you for being on *my* side re the whole social GR thing. It was one of the reasons why I dropped this season. Personally I think this group as a group takes writing WAY too seriously and that seriousness crosses into the GR, Same thing happened last season. I was kind of hoping we'd be GR ambassadors or something, tbh.

Date: 2016-04-19 07:05 pm (UTC)I loved your serial. Do you think you'll continue it or is it over? I missed my dose of feather this week.

Date: 2016-04-20 12:54 pm (UTC)serialstory is definitely not over, but on the other hand, I have to figure out where to rob the time to keep the thing going. Historically, you see, I've found that unless a prospective task has a deadline of some kind, it just can't compete for my attention and time with all the tasks that do have deadlines. That said, I just recently tried the "make an appointment with yourself" approach with regard to a "non-essential" firearms class I signed up for last weekend, and it would appear to have worked, but if it wasn't for the fact that I had a certain amount of "skin" (in the form of cash) invested in the enterprise, I would have been perfectly right—and frankly, obligated—to cancel going to the class in order to do something that came up at the last minute. (The fact the world did not end as a result of my not dropping the class to do that last-minute thing is, of course, illuminating and reassuring, but one such "dose" of reality is, by itself, not sufficient to sway a lifetime of habit.)
Even now, as I try to marshall my thoughts, I am being called away to address something more... important.
Sigh. It never ends. :)
Cheers...
